Alhamdulillah, many of our projects are Zakat eligible. This donation can be used to distribute food and water and help with medical treatments 

What is Zakat?
Zakat is paid by adult Muslims whose wealth exceeds the Nisab. Zakat is a compulsory donation which requires 2.5% of your annual wealth to be donated to a charitable cause. 

Who is Eligible for Zakat?

The Qur’an states:

“Zakat are only for the poor and the needy and those employed to collect (Zakat funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah’s Cause, and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”
Surah at-Tawbah, verse 60

Those eligible to pay Zakat, must be over the age of puberty, of Muslim faith, sound mind, free and have a positive cash/goods flow, as well as a personal wealth which exceeds the Nisab value.
