LAYLATUL QADR

Allah (swt) mentions in The Qur’an that this night is ‘better than a thousand months’ (Al-Qadr 97:3). It is the night in which the very first verses of the Holy Qur’an were revealed to Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him as guidance for mankind.

This night can be witnessed on any of the last 10 nights, Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him mentioned in a Hadith “This month (of Ramadan) has begun and there is a night in it better than one thousand month. (So,) any one deprived of its (blessings) is actually deprived of all goodness. Indeed, He is truly deprived who is kept away from its good”. (Ibn Majah)

Every act of worship on this night such as charity, reciting the Qur’an and remembering Allah (swt), is better on this night than doing these same actions for a thousand months.
